Muster

Privacy notice

This notice is about the musternet.org website.

What we collect

When you send the form, we get what you type in it: your name, email, organization, role, type of organization, the area you serve, about how many homes, and your message. The form also sends the language of the page, so we can reply in it. To stop abuse, our forms service also keeps your type of browser and a scrambled code made from your internet address (it can’t be turned back into the address). It does not keep the address itself. We use all of this only to reply to you and to plan Muster with you.

Who gets it

Man in a Can Labs, which makes Muster. Our own forms service stores your request and emails us to say it came in. It runs on Fly.io and Supabase, and sends the email through Resend. We do not sell your request or share it for ads.

How long we keep it

We keep a request for two years after we were last in touch with you. Then it is deleted on its own. Backup copies are gone within six months after that. We get an email that only says a request came in. The request itself stays in our forms service.

Spam checks

Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person and not a bot. To do this, Cloudflare sees your internet address. Cloudflare’s privacy policy covers that check.

Visit counts

We count visits with our own tool. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It notes the page, the site that sent you, your rough location (the city) and your type of device. A code that changes each day groups one day’s pages, so we cannot follow you from day to day or tell who you are. We keep these details for 13 months, and after that only totals. Our web server does not log visitors’ addresses.

Your language

If you pick a language, your browser remembers it. That choice stays on your device.

Your rights

You can ask to see, fix or delete what you sent us. Email us and we will do it.
